Adhika Bhadrapada Month in 2012
The month which is going to add in 2012 year is named as Adhika Bhadrapada Maas in 2012 year which will starts from 3rd august and will end on 31st august. But it is dates according to North India Calendar and according to South India calendar it will start from 18 august and will ends on 16th of September.
Adhik Maas is basically an extra month of approx 29 or 28 days which is added to year. It is all happens due to movements of Sun around earth in which sun completes all cycles 30.44 days so all other day is counted as month called as Mal Maas. Due to movements of sun we have two types of year one is solar year and another one is lunar year. A solar year is of 365 days but a lunar year is of 354 day. A solar month also has 6 minute with it.
It is said that it is very auspicious month and many activities like donation, puja- path, and Charity also performed by devotees. This month is referred to God Vishnu so can perform fasting to please God Vishnu and for getting blessing of God Vishnu. It is month in which we can get fruitful results for our all efforts which has done by us in past. We can also get relax from body diseases like blood pressure and heart diseases by having a religious activity at home or temple. In this month many auspicious events like marriage and mundane are banned.
It is believed by many devotees that in this month fasting can be performed but during this time you have to avoid bed and have to/should be sleep on floor and have food once in a day. These fast will be dedicated to God Vishnu. And its name is also of Lord Vishnu of Purushottam. By the blessing of God Vishnu you will be able to get relief from negative energies and evil effects.
